A Dedicated Music Teacher
All about me
I have taught extensively both in primary and secondary schools since 2002, and privately since 1991. I have self-published a book of beginner piano duets and am currently developing a tutor book series designed for KS3 beginners. In addition to teaching I enjoy studying and most recently obtained a masters degree in Psychology of Music in Education, Performance and Well-being from the University of Sheffield. My research interests are music and emotion which will form the basis of my future PhD studies.

An Experienced Music Educator
All about lessons
My current piano is a hybrid grand, combining the rich, resonant sound and authentic touch of a traditional grand with the precision and versatility of modern digital design. Its wooden keys and natural hammer action offer a beautifully expressive response, making it an inspiring instrument to teach and play on.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual. I use a variety of resources — from tutor books and music theory to musicianship, history, and composition — to create a well-rounded and engaging musical journey.
At the end of each term, my students are invited to perform in an informal concert — a warm, supportive occasion that celebrates progress, builds confidence, and shares the joy of music with others
